Cycle Path Valle Isarco: Brennero-Bolzano
brochure as pdf Reserve a bike
The Eisacktal Cycle Path starts at the Brenner Pass and follows the former railway track, gently descending all the way to the Alpine town of Sterzing. The marked cycle path runs mostly flat with slight inclines through picturesque villages, such as the village of Stilfes in the municipality of Freienfeld, all the way to the Franzensfeste Fortress. It then passes by Lake Vahrner, continues along the Chestnut Path, and reaches the historic Neustift Monastery, before heading towards Brixen. From Brixen to Bolzano, the route picks up speed, passing through the narrow Eisack Valley, with a stop in the artist town of Klausen, known for its impressive Sabiona Monastery Hill. The path continues on the Brenner Cycle Route until reaching the provincial capital, Bolzano. The total length of the Brenner Cycle Route is 96 kilometers, from Brenner to Bolzano.
